What the French Ministry of Culture records
La première mention du château remonte à 1328. Les communs forment l'enceinte du château et semblent avoir eu davantage une destination militaire qu'agricole. L'entrée sud était défendue par un châtelet rectangulaire construit sur un porche et dont l'axe est perpendiculaire à l'axe des autres bâtiments. Ces bâtiments, dont les fondations sont sans doute antérieures au 17e siècle, sont construits, en partie, sur des caves voûtées qui étaient plus des salles de défense et de garde que des caves proprement dites. Une tour ronde soude ces bâtiments au mur d'enceinte ouest qui maintient la terrasse face au château. La date de 1688 est gravée sur le linteau d'une porte d'étable.
