The present house, raised during the first half of the 17th century for the Ferrières de Sauveboeuf family, is arranged around a square courtyard and has kept its original roof timbering despite 19th century alterations. The father of the future revolutionary Mirabeau spent part of his childhood here, before the estate passed to the Oberkampf family. The vaulted cellars now house a museum devoted to prehistory.
