What the French Ministry of Culture records
Château représentatif du Second Empire, édifié en 1855 par l'architecture Lubac, ferme modèle en 1874. Bâti en tuffeau dans un style évoquant la Renaissance, le plan rectangulaire est cantonné de quatre tourelles d'angles. Une importante sculpture orne les élévations, surtout à l'ouest. Le décor sculpté est fait de rinceaux, palmes, coquilles, têtes, masques, fruits, animaux... A l'intérieur, les salles de réception présentent des plafonds peints. Les décors sont dus aux Lachaise, peintres.
