What the French Ministry of Culture records
Château construit au 16e siècle sur le plan d'un château fortifié, formé à l'origine de quatre ailes dont deux subsistent, ponctuées par quatre tours. Des éléments du châtelet d'entrée sont encore décelables sur la façade postérieure de l'aile ouest qui fut surélevée par la suite. Au 18e siècle, l'aile nord-ouest faisant face à l'allée d'accès fut détruite pour dégager une cour d'honneur. Les ailes furent repercées de manière symétrique et agrémentées de lucarnes en pierre. Dans la première moitié du 19e siècle, le château subit des remaniements dans le goût néo-gothique. L'aile nord-est est supprimée après 1836.
