Le château de Villeboton a été reconstruit au 18e siècle, sur l'emplacement d'une ancienne demeure. Il présente un plan en L. Le corps principal, rectangulaire, est flanqué sur son élévation occidentale de deux tours circulaires vestiges de l'ancienne demeure. Cet édifice a été fort peu modifié au cours des 19e et 20e siècles, comme en témoignent deux gravures datées de 1774 réalisées par le propriétaire, M. de Meaussé. C'est au cours du premier tiers du 19e siècle que la chapelle fut élevée dans le parc à l'est du château et que les bâtiments des communs furent remaniés. Les volumes extérieurs ont été conservés.
