What the French Ministry of Culture records
Le château occupe la place d'une forteresse du 15e siècle dont il ne subsiste aucune trace. Il a été probablement reconstruit au 18e siècle, et fut très remanié et transformé par la duchesse de Dino après 1825. La chapelle fut élevée en 1840, à la place de la chambre occupée par Talleyrand. L'édifice comprend un corps de bâtiment principal se développant entre deux pavillons carrés. La travée centrale de la façade présente deux portiques superposés, de quatre colonnes, supportant un fronton triangulaire meublé des armoiries de Talleyrand, supportées par deux aigles. A l'est du pavillon sud se développe une aile en retour d'équerre, formée d'un rez-de-chaussée surmonté d'une terrasse. Sur cette terrasse se trouve la chapelle. La façade de cet oratoire présente un portique soutenant un fronton triangulaire au-dessus duquel sont trois bas-reliefs représentant, au centre le Couronnement de la Vierge, à gauche un baptême, à droite la communion d'une bergère. Les communs sont un long bâtiment élevé au nord.
