What the French Ministry of Culture records

Château reconstruit dans le troisième quart du 18e siècle, sur la base d'un édifice antérieur (probablement du 16e siècle). Le vieux corps de logis avec grosse tour et pavillon d'escalier fut doublé en superficie. La façade antérieure est caractérisée par une belle ordonnance et une ornementation soignée. Le logis clôt la perspective d'une allée conduisant à une avant-cour entourée de communs, puis à une cour d'honneur où se trouve la superbe fontaine en marbre de Campan. A l'arrière du logis, subsistent le parc et la garenne. Exemple de "maison des champs" d'une grande famille de l'Ancien Régime, conservée presque intégralement dans son état du 18e siècle. A l'intérieur du château, décor très raffiné (lambris et gypseries des 18e et 19e siècles, papiers peints, cheminées, dessus-de-porte peints, sols, carrelages de terre cuite, ...). Le moulin appartient au domaine du château de la Motte, reconstruit au troisième quart du 18e siècle. Il n'est pas daté. Ce moulin à vent, de type tour, en pierre de taille calcaire, comprenait au moins un étage, comme en témoignent les ouvertures. Consolidé en 1999.
