Castels Castle, built in the early seventeenth century in Valence, stands on a fortified site with medieval origins. Reconstructed after a fire in 1930, this Renaissance-style building rises on a plateau overlooking the Garonne valley. The structure features a central residential block with two flanking wings, three towers of varying forms, and period details such as lintels on corbels, false machicolations, and triangular-pediment dormers. A two-arch bridge in full voussoir spans the courtyard level difference to reach the vestibule.
