Built in the first quarter of the 19th century by a wealthy family of grain merchants, it follows the classical restraint inherited from the late 18th century. The estate was originally a large wine-growing property, later ruined by the phylloxera crisis and by the poor management of one of its owners. Its facades, roofs and ground-floor rooms, along with the orangery and the greenhouse, are now protected as a historic monument.
