What the French Ministry of Culture records

Château construit en 1888 par l'architecte Ambroise Baudry pour le comte Odon de Toulouse-Lautrec, oncle du peintre, à la place d'un édifice du 17e siècle. Le château est construit au coeur d'un parc paysager réaménagé à cet effet. La chapelle et le colombier de 1680 ont été conservés. Des écuries, une ferme et un potager clos de murs complètent le programme. L'édifice adopte un plan dissymétrique, avec un corps principal rectangulaire flanqué de plusieurs pavillons saillants sur la façade principale, d'un avant-corps polygonal sur la façade sud et d'une tour circulaire à l'est. A l'intérieur, lambris en bois sculpté du 17e siècle (1675 ?) provenant de l'ancien château. Une petite pièce d'angle, sans doute un fumoir, reprend le style orientalisant, seul exemple conservé du travail de coloriste de Baudry.
