What the French Ministry of Culture records

Le château comprend deux grandes salles et une petite tour, qui se répètent sur trois niveaux. L'escalier à vis dessert les deux salles. Deux escaliers à vis en échauguettes partent des tours, au dernier étage, pour atteindre les combles de ces deux tours. Il reste quelques menuiseries d'époque avec ferrures, des carrelages en terre cuite. L'édifice est signalé en 1662 comme étant en ruine et les habitants l'utilisaient comme carrière de pierre. Cet édifice aurait été épargné en 1579 ou 1580 lors de la destruction totale de la ville par le maréchal de Biron, catholique.
