What the French Ministry of Culture records

Le donjon est le seul témoignage de l'ancien château du 16e siècle, profondément remanié au 19e siècle. L'édifice s'élève sur une base approximativement carrée, et est flanqué d'une tour cylindrique contenant un escalier à vis. Au rez-de-chaussée, ouverture d'un passage voûté en plein cintre qui traverse le bâtiment d'est en ouest. Les trois autres niveaux sont représentés par des fenêtres à meneaux. C'est dans ce château que naquit, le 15 janvier 1526, le grand-père de Turenne.
