Set in the rural pays d'Auge, this timber framed manor built around 1585 owes much of its fame to Charlotte Corday, whose father's family owned it during the 18th century and where she was a regular visitor. Both main façades display elaborate half timbered patterns, with intricate crosswork panels upstairs and dormer windows along the roofline. Surrounding the house, a group of 18th century outbuildings, including a cider press, a barn, a stable, a pigsty and a dairy, completes this Norman farmstead.
