Manoir de la Varinière stands in Tortisambert (Calvados), in the Normandie region of France. The building is registered as a historic monument (dating recorded in the Mérimée database: 16th century). The building is privately owned and no visits are on record.
The manor house of La Varinière stands at the hamlet bearing its name, in the town of Livarot-Pays-d'Auge, within the former parish of Tortisambert. Built of timber framing and wattle-and-daub in the 16th century, it takes its name from the Varin family who built or once lived there. Its façade is notable for a false corbelling and carved decoration, including a Saint Michael slaying the dragon dated 1520, alongside human heads and fantastical animal figures.
