In Montpinçon, a hamlet within the commune of L'Oudon in Calvados, the manoir de la Roque stands on the site of a former fortified castle, of which the motte and part of the moat can still be seen. The timber-framed main dwelling, largely built in the 16th century with sections dating back to the late 15th, shows two contrasting faces: exposed half-timbering on the front, slate cladding on the rear. Around the courtyard stand outbuildings of the same construction, including a bakery with its oven and a press recorded since the 18th century.
