What the French Ministry of Culture records
La construction de ce château s'est déroulée à partir de la fin du 16e siècle (corps central) pour Jehan Dufay, seigneur du Taillis, puis au milieu du 17e siècle (pavillons) , puis à la fin du 17e siècle (corps de liaisons et aile) et enfin au début du 19e siècle (ailes). Plusieurs chapelles successives sont connues, ainsi qu'un logement pour le chapelain. Vers 1930, une restauration importante a eu lieu, ainsi que la mise en place du décor d'un grand salon provenant d'un hôtel particulier de Rouen.
