The château de Roumare stands in the Seine-Maritime department, on the site of an earlier medieval building of which only the castle mound and its moat remain. Built around 1630 by Sanson Vignon, a magistrate from Rouen, it gained two wings and a chapel in the 18th century, the chapel decorated with grisaille painted panels. Brick, stone and slate make up its structure, which was substantially reworked between 1895 and 1910.
