What the French Ministry of Culture records

Il devait exister avant le château actuel, un édifice féodal sans doute détruit par les Anglais au 14e siècle. Un membre de la famille Maussion fit appliquer la façade actuelle à un ancien bâtiment élevé précédemment, peut-être sur l'emplacement du château primitif. Le châtau comprend un corps de bâtiment principal, surmonté d'un fronton triangulaire percé d'un oeil de boeuf. Un large perron de trois marches donne accès à l'intérieur du château. Bossages à pierre entre les portes-fenêtres. Sur la façade postérieure, perpendiculairement, se trouve une chapelle à abside semi circulaire. Derrière cette chapelle et un peu en arrière du bâtiment principal, se trouve une autre construction plus ancienne. Dans la cour, se trouvent les restes d'un colombier en forme de tour circulaire. A côté, le bâtiment a été bâti sur une cave voûtée transformée en crypte. L'intérieur conserve une cage d'escalier avec rampe en fer forgé, des boiseries et des plaques de cheminées.
