Gentilhomme de la fin du 16e siècle, le château présente un corps de logis rectangulaire flanqué, côté ouest, de deux tours rondes, et accompagné d'un bâtiment de communs et d'un pigeonnier. Le commun consiste en un corps de bâtiment rectangulaire avec une tour d'angle nord-ouest et une autre à l'angle sud-est. Le toit est typiquement bourbonnais, à quatre pans très élevés couverts de tuiles plates.
