What the French Ministry of Culture records

Construit au début du 15e siècle, le château servit de résidence au maire de Poitiers au 17e siècle. Au début du 20e siècle, il fut vendu et dépouillé de son décor sculpté et de son mobilier. Il reste aujourd'hui un corps de logis en L, entouré de dépendances, et les ruines d'une chapelle et d'un pigeonnier. Le corps de logis, cantonné dans l'angle ouest d'une tour contenant un escalier en vis, a conservé des fenêtres gothiques des 15e et 16e siècles. A l'intérieur, dans l'aile nord, les deux pièces du premier étage renferment encore leurs cheminées gothiques et coussièges. De même, le deuxième étage de l'aile sud a gardé une cheminée gothique. De la chapelle, il ne subsiste qu'une abside à chevet plat voûtée sur croisée d'ogives.
