Château de Bannes stands in Beaumontois en Périgord (Dordogne), in the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region of France. The building is listed as a historic monument (dating recorded in the Mérimée database: limite 15th century 16th century). The building is privately owned and no visits are on record.

Perched on a rocky spur above the Couze valley, Bannes belongs to that generation of Périgord fortresses turned into Renaissance residences in the early 16th century. Dismantled in 1442 during the Hundred Years' War, it was rebuilt between 1510 and 1515 by Brandelis de Gontaut-Biron, becoming one of the region's most notable Renaissance ensembles. Behind the outer barbican and entrance gatehouse, the courtyard still shows a mix of asymmetrical pavilions, round towers and stair turrets.
