Des constructions du 14e siècle ne subsistent que des fragments de remparts et une tour d'angle à demi ruinée. Le pont-levis a disparu, remplacé par un porche monumental du 17e siècle encadré par deux lions accroupis. Le château actuel a été bâti au 17e siècle, à l'emplacement de l'édifice féodal, attaqué au canon par le vicomte de Turenne en 1585. L'édifice présente un bâtiment barlong coupé en son milieu par un pavillon à angle droit.
