The manoir de Sautet stands about a mile and a half southwest of the bastide town of Molières, in the Dordogne, on the border between the Bergerac area and the Black Périgord. Originally a modest 17th century hunting lodge on the Cugnac family estate, it gained two side pavilions in the following century, giving it the typical form of a two-winged Périgord chartreuse. Visitors can see the tall segmental-arched French windows on the main facade, the oval dormers with circular pediments in the roof, and the terrace stretching between the pavilions.
