Château de Bayac stands in Bayac (Dordogne), in the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region of France. The building is registered as a historic monument (dating recorded in the Mérimée database: 14th century, 18th century, 19th century). No visits are on record for this building.

The Château de Bayac stands halfway up a slope on the left bank of the Couze river in the Dordogne, overlooking the valley from two 14th century towers. One of them, crenellated and fitted with machicolations, is said to house the so called Chamber of Eleanor of Aquitaine, reached by a stone spiral staircase. A 16th century round tower and living quarters added in the 18th and 19th centuries complete the ensemble, which has lost its original defensive character. The site went through the Wars of Religion, later welcomed political figures of the Third Republic, and was eventually turned into a Paris municipal holiday camp.
