The logis de Lugérat stands in the commune of Montignac-Charente, about fifteen kilometres north of Angoulême. This main house flanked by two round towers and a polygonal stair tower was built in the 15th and 16th centuries for the La Faye and later Flamant families. Visitors can still see its steep flat-tile roof, the gun ports at the base of the towers, and traces of alterations made over the centuries, notably in the 18th century and during a 20th century restoration.
