Surrounded by a moat, the Château de Saveilles combines the defensive look of a 15th century stronghold with Renaissance features added later. Built on an L shaped plan, it is flanked by round towers topped with pointed roofs and entered through a gatehouse with two towers opening onto a large courtyard. The outbuildings recall the site's role during the Wars of Religion, when Huguenot forces stored their supplies there. Visits today take place in the surrounding park.
