Domaine du château de Bort (également sur commune de Rilhac-Rancon) stands in Saint-Priest-Taurion (Haute-Vienne), in the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region of France. The building is listed as a historic monument (dating recorded in the Mérimée database: 16th century, 19th century). Its opening hours and prices have not been verified at the source yet.
Bort Castle, whose lordship is attested from the 15th century, gradually took shape around a noble stronghold mentioned in the 16th century. During the 19th century, a major transformation campaign added rounded towers, octagonal pavilions and arcaded galleries in a neo-gothic style. An architectural reduction in 1959 left the castle with two equilateral wings flanked by crenellated towers. The estate also preserves its chapel, whose walls retain 15th-century murals enhanced with 19th-century polychrome decoration, as well as a period model farm and a landscape park.
