The château de Salvanet, in Saint-Priest-Taurion in the Haute-Vienne department, is a residence built in the 1770s on the site of an older feudal house, on a slope overlooking the Taurion valley. Notable features include the south facade with its central projection topped by a carved triangular pediment, and especially the main entrance, which the architect shifted to the east side into a rotunda-shaped vestibule, an unusual choice for its time. Inside, original panelling and painted door surrounds remain from the eighteenth century decor.
