What the French Ministry of Culture records

L'édifice actuel, construit vers 1660 (corps de logis et tour carrée), fait suite à un château fort. Au 19e siècle, le bâtiment ouest fut surélevé et remanié en pavillon ; le pavillon Est fut bâti. Le château se compose du corps de logis rectangulaire du 17e siècle avec façade principale au sud, et de la tour carrée à l'arrière. Le corps de logis est flanqué de deux pavillons carrés du 19e siècle. Le jardin actuel n'a pas gardé l'empreinte du jardin qui a préexisté à la création paysagère réalisée vers 1870-1876. Ce dernier a été modifié à partir de 1964. La cour devant le château a été agrandie, des plates-bandes tracées à la française ont été réalisées, les anciennes pièces d'eau ont été comblées et un nouveau miroir d'eau créé.
