What the French Ministry of Culture records

Edifice construit de 1771 à 1776 sur les plans de Nicolas Ducret, ce château se rattache à la tradition classique par sa conception des toits, un dôme à pans coupés sur plan rectangulaire pour la partie centrale et des combles séparés sur les pavillons latéraux. Le péristyle à colonnes et pilastres ioniques marque l'influence des demeures parisiennes de l'époque Louis XVI. Hormis la disparition d'un pigeonnier, les dispositions de l'ensemble restent celles d'origine. Le château a conservé ses décors intérieurs. Les pièces du rez-de-chaussée sont ornées de lambris et de motifs sculptés floraux ou allégoriques. Au 19e siècle, ajout de peintures grises. La chapelle est un petit édifice rectangulaire de style Louis XV dont la décoration se concentre sur la porte d'entrée. Sur la façade arrière du château se trouve le bâtiment des domestiques, contemporain de la construction du château. Au 19e siècle, des porcheries sont venues compléter les bâtiments agricoles.
