To make a day of it

Wildensteiner Burg Hahnenkamm stands in Leibertingen (Landkreis Sigmaringen), in Baden-Württemberg, Germany. No visits are on record for this building.

The Wildensteiner Burg Hahnenkamm is the ruin of a medieval hilltop castle perched on a rocky outcrop above a bend of the Danube, north of Leibertingen. It takes its name from the cockscomb shape of the cliff on which it stands, cut off on the valley side by a sheer drop of about 80 metres. It belongs to a group of four castle ruins built around the Feste Wildenstein by the lords of Wildenstein. Only remnants of walls and a passage carved through the rock remain, reached by a former steep approach.
