Schloss Veltheim is a moated castle in eastern Lower Saxony, built in 1555 on the remains of an earlier Wasserburg thought to date from the 12th century. Today it shows a two storey main building forming the north wing, with a massive corner tower from the same century whose arch spans the moat. Several inscribed stones on the facade, including a coat of arms and carved dates, trace the rebuilding carried out by the von Honrodt family. A park lies on the north side of the grounds.
