Schloss Nossen stands in Nossen (Landkreis Meißen), in Saxony, Germany. Its opening hours and prices have not been verified at the source yet.
Schloss Nossen overlooks the valley of the Freiberger Mulde from a rocky outcrop, on the site of a medieval stronghold first recorded at the end of the 12th century. The present Renaissance building was erected in the 16th century for the Elector of Saxony August, who used it as a hunting lodge and a stopover residence on the route to Dresden. Visitors today can see rooms devoted to the site's history along with exhibitions on the Saxon noble families von Schönberg and von Friesen. Napoleon Bonaparte set up his headquarters here for one night in May 1813.
