Schloss Proschwitz stands at Meißen, at the heart of an estate that claims to hold Saxony's oldest private vineyard. The present neo-baroque building is the result of several building phases since the eighteenth century, on a site whose origins go back to a medieval episcopal estate. Around the main house lie an English-style landscape park and a geometric garden inspired by early eighteenth-century French design. The neighbouring Dienerhaus, with its two hip-roofed pavilions and clock tower, completes the architectural ensemble.
