Schloss Leyenburg stands in Rheurdt (Kreis Kleve), in North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany. The building is a listed Baudenkmal. Its opening hours and prices have not been verified at the source yet.
Schloss Leyenburg stands in Rheurdt, close to the border with Neukirchen-Vluyn, on a site held since the Middle Ages by the fortified manor of Kieckhorst. The present building, a rococo hunting lodge, was raised by the von der Leyen family, silk manufacturers from Krefeld, after they acquired the estate in 1772, and was later reworked in a classical style during the 19th century. Inside, stuccoed ceilings bear medallions painted by masters of the Düsseldorf school, a mirrored hall is topped by a Swan Lake ceiling painting, and a gallery displays small sculptures ranging from Dürer to Raphael.
