Burg Boetzelaer stands in Kalkar (Kreis Kleve), in North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany. The building is a listed Baudenkmal. Its opening hours and prices have not been verified at the source yet.
Burg Boetzelaer stands at Appeldorn, a hamlet of Kalkar, on the shore of the Boetzelaer Meer. This former moated stronghold, whose foundations date back to the 12th or 13th century, was for several centuries the seat of the noble von Boetzelaer family. Left in ruins after the Second World War, it was restored in stages between 1978 and 2004, combining the medieval remains with a modern glass front. The site now houses accommodation, events and a small terrace café.
