Haus Traar is a former manorial estate in the Krefeld district that bears its name. Built in the mid 13th century by the von Are family, it belonged for roughly five centuries to the Teutonic Order before becoming a farming estate after secularisation. The buildings seen today, particularly the manor house, largely date from a 19th century rebuilding carried out by the Henoumont family. The property remained in agricultural use until 1990, after which its former farm buildings were converted into housing.
