To make a day of it
Schloss Giechkröttendorf stands in Weismain (Landkreis Lichtenfels), in Bavaria, Germany. The building is a listed Baudenkmal. No visits are on record for this building.
Schloss Giechkröttendorf stands in Weismain, in the Landkreis Lichtenfels, Bavaria, on the site of an earlier moated manor first recorded in 1422. Partly destroyed during the Peasants' War of 1525, it was rebuilt as a three-storey noble residence, completed in the 1570s under Achaz von Giech zu Kröttenstein. The round corner tower on the south side, which once held the chapel, and the vaulted ground floor still date from that period. The north front, with its central staircase tower, was reworked in the 18th century, when the mansard roof was also added.
