To make a day of it
Palais von Nell stands in Perl (Landkreis Merzig-Wadern), in Saarland, Germany. The building is a listed Baudenkmal. No visits are on record for this building.
The Palais von Nell is a baroque mansion built in 1733 in Perl, Saarland, on land held in fief from the Trier cathedral chapter. Iron wall anchors on the façade still bear the initials of its first owners, Johann Marx and his wife Elisabeth Arnoldi. The building itself remains private property, but the formal garden facing it across the street, restored according to historic plans as part of the cross-border project "Gärten ohne Grenzen", is freely open to the public. It features an eighteenth-century garden portal, a double staircase and geometric boxwood-edged beds around a central fountain.
What to know
