What the French Ministry of Culture records

En 915, l'abbaye d'Echternach reçut en don de son abbé, le comte de Reginar, les terres de Berg et de Rodemack. Il reste aujourd'hui trois bâtiments : le colombier (sans doute du 17e siècle) ; la résidence dont l'intérieur conserve certaines dispositions d'origine (boiseries, cuisine, parquet, escalier avec rampe en fer forgé) ; la ferme. La résidence, caractéristique de l'architecture profane commandée par les abbés d'Echternach, illustre un volet particulier de cette typologie de maisons de campagne édifiées au 18e siècle en Lorraine, dont la grande arcade séparant la cuisine en deux, la charpente dite à l'allemande et le placard chauffant. L'ensemble est complété par un colombier et un corps de ferme du 19e siècle.
