Château du Schlossberg stands in Forbach (Moselle), in the Grand Est region of France. Its opening hours and prices have not been verified at the source yet.
On the hill overlooking Forbach stand the ruins of a medieval fortress, crowned by an observation tower built in the late nineteenth century. First recorded in the thirteenth century, the stronghold was strengthened over the centuries before being torn down on the orders of Louis XIII in 1634. Visitors come mainly for the octagonal tower, which looks out over the town and the Sarre valley, and for the wooded park surrounding the site.

What to know
- The site is visited outdoors, through the ruins and the park, with no opening hours to report here.
- Climbing the hill requires moderate physical effort, as the tower rises to about 28 metres.
- The municipal park hosts events organised by the tourist office on summer Sundays.
- A restaurant now occupies the former Burghof farm buildings near the tower.
- The current tower, built in 1891, does not stand exactly where the original medieval keep once stood.
