The Jagdschloss Karlsbrunn stands on a terrace above the main street of the village of Karlsbrunn, part of the municipality of Großrosseln. This baroque hunting lodge was built for Prince Ludwig of Nassau-Saarbrücken between 1769 and 1783 and enlarged into a three-winged complex during the 1780s, and it forms part of the Baroque Road Saar-Palatinate. The three-storey central building, topped by a hipped gable roof, is flanked by two connecting sections leading to side wings once used as farm buildings. Visitors reach the courtyard of honour through the left wing, up a double-flight staircase watched over by a small guardhouse.
