The ruins of Burg Bucherbach stand in Köllerbach, a district of Püttlingen, on the remains of a former moated stronghold. First documented in 1326 and built on 14th-century foundations, it belonged to the Counts of Saarbrücken before passing to the House of Nassau-Saarbrücken. Its near-square layout with four round corner towers, three of which still rise to a considerable height, remains visible despite the damage inflicted during the Thirty Years' War. Throughout the year the grounds also host markets and events within the old castle walls.
