Château-fort de Rodemack stands in Rodemack (Moselle), in the Grand Est region of France. The building is listed as a historic monument (dating recorded in the Mérimée database: 15th century, 18th century). Its opening hours and prices have not been verified at the source yet.
In Rodemack, in the Moselle department, the remains of a fortified castle survive, its origins dating back to the 12th century when Arnould I, lord of the domain, built a stronghold on an earlier ancient site. The surrounding village has preserved nearly 700 metres of medieval ramparts, six towers and a fortified gate, making it a fortification ensemble uncommon in the region. Visitors can see a vaulted Renaissance-style cellar and a wheel well 22 metres deep, both testifying to the successive alterations made to the site up to the 17th century.
