To make a day of it

Burg Finkelsburg stands in Rettenberg (Landkreis Oberallgäu), in Bavaria, Germany. Recorded dating: 11th century. No visits are on record for this building.

Burg Finkelsburg, also known as Burg Weiher, survives only as scattered remains overgrown by vegetation, on a ridge northeast of the hamlet of Weiher. Built in the 11th century, it passed through several noble families before coming under the authority of the Bishop of Augsburg, and was destroyed in the 14th century. What remains today are the barely visible ruins of a residential tower and a memorial stone.
