To make a day of it
Schloss Neutrauchburg stands in Neutrauchburg (Landkreis Ravensburg), in Baden-Württemberg, Germany. Its opening hours and prices have not been verified at the source yet.
Schloss Neutrauchburg stands on a moraine ridge north of Isny im Allgäu, looking out over the Alps and their foothills. Built in the late 18th century for the Waldburg-Zeil family, it replaced a medieval stronghold whose stones were partly reused in the new construction. Today it presents a three-storey baroque main building with a mansard roof, flanked by outbuildings and set within an extensive garden. The building now operates as a hotel and event venue.
What to know
- The Schloss now houses a hotel, restaurant and event rooms, which shapes access to the interior.
- Visits are mainly from the outside, taking in the garden and the view over Isny and the Alps.
- No opening hours or admission fees are set, as the site mainly operates as a hotel.
- The south façade still bears the stone coat of arms of the Waldburg family.
