Schloss Hopferau stands in Hopferau, in the Landkreis Ostallgäu, Bavaria, within a walled park. The three storey building dates back to 1468, when it was erected for the knight Sigmund von Freyberg zu Eisenberg, and received a neo-gothic facade in the nineteenth century under the direction of Domenico Quaglio. Its chapel, added in 1504, now serves as the village's parish church. The building today houses a restaurant and an events centre, and recalls the postwar operation of Konrad Zuse's Z4 computer on the premises.
