What the French Ministry of Culture records

Le château constitue un ensemble hétérogène qui se compose d'un corps de logis principal de plan carré, édifié à la fin du 17e siècle, dont l'architecture est animée de tourelles d'angle, de lucarnes et d'une haute toiture. Il a été prolongé au 18e siècle par une aile d'aspect plus sévère que coiffe un toit plat. Indépendante par rapport au corps de logis du 17e siècle, s'étend une longue aile de communs, typiquement auvergnate, qui paraît de la même époque. Dans le parc, subsiste un petit bassin quadrilobé au sud du logis, et un étroit plan d'eau. Le château est protégé par une grille côté place, dans laquelle s'ouvre le portail principal.
