What the French Ministry of Culture records

Première construction au 14e siècle : corps de logis avec quatre tours, dont un donjon rond, reliées par des courtines. Un pont-levis permettait d'accéder au château, entièrement cerné par un étang. Modifications à la fin du 16e ou début du 17e siècle : rempart ; adjonction de deux ailes contre les courtines ; construction d'une galerie avec arcades ; aménagements intérieurs. Au cours de la Révolution, le château est démantelé et sert de grenier à grains. En 1900, élévation d'une digue et destruction de la courtine ouest.
