Château de Puyferrat stands in Saint-Astier (Dordogne), in the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region of France. The building is listed as a historic monument (dating recorded in the Mérimée database: 16th century). Its opening hours and prices have not been verified at the source yet.
Standing on a hilltop above Saint-Astier, Puyferrat castle shows a rectangular main building framed by two round towers and two corbelled turrets, beneath a wall-walk that still bears its musket loopholes. Inside, a tiered staircase links the floors up to a notable timber roof frame under a flat-tile roof. The west front opens through a Doric-style doorway from the late French Renaissance.
